2013 Cars Fight Emissions While Producing More Power

We are seeing a renaissance in the automobile as the customer base wants efficiency and sport as many of the governments of industrialized nations are cracking down on carbon dioxide emissions. For 2013 cars we will see some of the most efficient engines as well as powerful engines being produced and will power our cars and trucks and everything else in between. With more customers gaining faith in hybrid and all electric plug-in technology we will see these companies that already exist and produce these vehicles start to accelerate in sales and the companies that do not offer these vehicles start producing them and quickly. The EU has set laws into effect that call for a lower average of emissions
for all vehicles in a company’s lineup. The fact that many European producing car companies cater to the supercar market makes for a company to produce a small and super efficient vehicle. Car Company Aston Martin has been known for producing fast and sexy vehicles that utilize large displacement engines that are 8 and 12 cylinders. These engines are not by any means purpose built for efficiency but rather power displacement and nothing but causing the whole line of cars to fall under efficiency standards and above emissions limits so for cars 2013 Aston Martin introduced a rebadged Toyota iQ that would get nearly 40 miles to the gallon and emit far less emissions than that of the average and thus bring down the company’s average emissions below the standards of the EU and therefore look to see many rebadged gas sippers as these companies just make a loophole.

The Marine Federal Credit Union And How It Can Save You Money

Your typical bank will always broadcast that they have the best rates and the friendliest staff and much, much more but what they don’t tell you is that your potential credit union can give you rates that are incomparable. With credit unions having the ability to be non-profit this makes them not have to have the penalties and fees like you would see with a conventional back because conventional banks are out to get money and lots of it. With banks they rely on not only interest rates but fees and penalties and with a credit union you see very little if any of these fine print penalties that charge you. The Marine Federal Credit Union is a non-profit credit union that has the ability to give low interest rate loans that are federal backed by the FDIC and only need to profit enough to pay the employees that run the Marine Federal Credit Union. With many individuals that currently has loans with the Marine Federal Credit Union makes up for any extra bills or fees. A credit union is not out to penalize you as a way to profit so you can rest easier knowing your money is secure and without charges. The Marine Federal Credit Union has become a more and more popular safe haven for Marines and their family’s savings. The Marine Federal Credit Union gives you the ability to get a better rate of interest on your loans and on your savings account so take the time to talk with a representative at your Marine Federal Credit Union.

Technology Has Been Down, But It’s Back!

Hey, I do not know if this is good or not, but everywhere I have gone today, internet service has been questionable to non-existent!  In some ways this has been a blessing.  Our entire subdivision was without service all morning.  I went to my office at the church and it was out.  Then I went through several meetings and just now are things back to normal at home for me to write these words to you, even though it is very late.

Orlando was special last night and meaningful.  It was special to have some of my staff team with me.  It was special to visit with them going and coming to Orlando.  It was special to engage with friends like John Maxwell, Vonette Bright, Tom Mullins, and James Davis; as well, meet many giants in the faith who are making a difference for God.

Rudolph Giuliani, Brian Armas, Melissa SwainThe special guest that followed me on the program last night was the former Mayor of New York City, the Honorable Rudolph Giuliani.  I heard him speak, met him, got an autograph copy of his book on leadership, got my picture made with him, and participated in not only hearing him in the plenary session, but hearing him in a private setting of about 25 leaders answering our questions.  He communicated well with everyone as we witnessed not only a great leader, but one who has a great sense of humor.  He spoke on the subject of leadership in the plenary session.

I have not said a lot about it, but I picked both major NFL games last weekend correctly!  Are you surprised?  So now I have been asked by several, “Pastor, who are you picking to win the Super Bowl?”  I believe I will hold off on announcing my pick until after this weekend.  Perhaps on Monday or Tuesday of Super Bowl week I will make the pick.

I did a major radio interview about our blog today.  An article ran recently about our blog on www.pastors.com, highlighting it as being very special in the “blogging world.”  In fact, response to it has been outstanding.  I was told today that this blog is being looked at as “the poster for a Pastor blogging”.  Wow!  I am humbled and honored.

This reminds me of what I shared on the interview:  it is all about the people who help me with this blog daily.  One of my assistants, Melissa Swain, and my technocrat, Brian Armas.  Because of these two people, yours truly just writes and they make it look good daily.  So, pray a blessing on them.  Thank you Brian and Melissa.

Make this weekend count!

An Amazing Friday Afternoon, Evening, and Saturday Morning

Jeana and I had an amazing Friday afternoon, evening, and Saturday morning…we kept Peyton over the entire night!  Wow, it was fun.  Josh and Kate were attending the Young Married Adult Retreat our Springdale Campus offered and we had this unique, first time ever experience.  It was a special time.  My favorite was getting him out of bed on Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. and having him sleep with us until about 7:15 a.m. He clutched my fingers tightly.  When he awakened, the bottle was not ready so the crying was beginning.  So, I began to sing to him for five minutes and yes, he loved it!  I made up this three word song, “I Love Peyton”, and kept singing it to him over and over again.  He stopped crying and looked entertained.  I am grateful to God for this special gift God has entrusted to our family.  I will show pictures some time this week from our experience with him.  Back on the singing part, graveyards might have been interrupted due to the quality of it.

Pray for Josh Stanbery today as he is in the Benton County Hospital.  Josh has had five surgeries on his heart, but has not had one since age 20.  He has struggled recently with a “valve issue,” which they shared with him 10 years ago, he would one day have to have it repaired.  Therefore, they are in the process of evaluating and weighing the situation.  We will know more later today or in the early part of the week.  All is well with him and his future, but just a set-back at this time.  He sees a cardiologist today and will be able to have the situation assessed and dealt with once all the testing is completed.  Pray for he and Angela, as well as the children as they are away from him.  Josh leads our music and worship ministries at our Pinnacle Hills campus and does it in a splendid way.

Hey, it is Super Bowl week and I am still considering my winning pick!  I am going for the Dallas Cowboys, but I think they will not win it this year since they are not playing.  So, will it be the Steelers or Seahawks?  Time will tell and I will let you in on the “inside pick” soon.

We had a lot of KINGDOM LEGACY talk yesterday in my message.  I received an email from one of my associates and he shared with me it was being discussed big-time in our small group ministry yesterday on the Springdale campus.  If you missed it, order the DVD or CD.  You can do so from www.RonnieFloydWinners.com  Winners is the new name for our entire media ministry.

I need your major prayers this week.  The Lord is presenting some very interesting things before me.  I must make the right decisions, so pray for me.

Peyton, Prediction, Damian, Meetings, and Faith

Peyton and IHey, what do you think of these pictures that are posted today?  They are from our Friday night and Saturday night experience with our first grandchild, Peyton.  In his first night with “Pops and Gigi” we had an extraordinary time.  God is good to bless us like this.  We are very grateful to Him and give glory to His name!  You should have been there when I sang to him…it was a moment!

The Super Bowl prediction from Yours Truly is coming on Wednesday, so do not miss the blog!  You can rest assured with my prediction:  I will either be right or wrong.  I told you I was insightful into NFL matters.

Damian WilliamsSpeaking of football since you brought it up:  Arkansas fans are elated today!  Our own Damian Williams decommitted from Florida on Monday and committed to play next year for the Razorbacks.  He was rated the #9 receiver in the country.  I am sorry, I just do not believe that…he is one of the very best high school football players to ever come out of Arkansas in my 19 years here and if there is a better receiver who will sign on Friday I would love to see him play!  He takes over ballgames and that is what great players do.  In every setting, he could change the outcome in a moment.  I think his potential at the next level is outstanding if God blesses him with an injury-free career.  As well, he comes from an outstanding family with a strong commitment to Christ.  Houston Nutt and the troops are practicing for “The Rapture” with this recruiting class.

Meetings dominated my life yesterday from noon until late.  Following that time, I came home and worked for two hours.  The Lord is increasing the potential and borders faster than I can stay up!  He is good and I give Him thanks and glory.

An estimated 3,000 of our people completed the book, Building Dynamic Faith,  this morning or they will sometime today.  Our people purchased and purchased these at our encouragement so we could all work through it one chapter (4-6 pages) a day through the month of January.  Without question, in my 2nd time through it within the last two months, God is in the process of creating dynamic faith in my life.  These estimated 3,000 people are from 6th grade and above, comprised from both of our campuses.

Yes, I recommend the book…it will build you 1st and your Faith 2nd.

Seattle Surprises The World, Mostly Pittsburgh

You have read it here 1st:  Seattle will defeat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. Why? There are two reasons I have picked the Seahawks over the Steelers. First, a strong offensive combination of a capable passing game and a great running game by the Seahawks. Second, Pittsburgh is on an impressive roll, but sooner or later all good things in sports come to an end … just ask USC!

I have no vested interest in either team and have really loved watching both of them in the month of January. The Steelers are very impressive and quite honestly, are the best choice if you were betting money on this game; however, I do not bet and you should not either. Their defense is super and their quarterback, “Big Ben” is playing outstanding. The spirit and athleticism of Jerome Bettis makes the world pull for him and the Steelers.

Do I really believe the Seahawks will win?  It is a gutsy call, but yes, I do believe they will win. If they lose by 30 points, will I be surprised? No! I would not be surprised at all. However, remember, I chose the National Champions in College Football and in the NFL conference championships last week, I was two for two! Overall, it will be a great game to watch and sentimental motivation is for both to win. I can live with either one and both teams have earned unquestionably the right to play for the Football World Championship! Line it up and let’s see who will win. Enjoy the game!

For those of you who hate football and will be so glad when I stop blogging about it, let me give you something to consider. Consider watching the Food Network!  Jeana is one of their viewers. This is why the prophetic word of my son, Nick, is so relative still in our home at times. He said one time to us these words: “My two most unfavorite words are, ‘NEW RECIPE’!” A lot of men and women would rather watch the Food Network than the Super Bowl. That is cool, so enjoy. Enjoy your new recipes! I will take football any time over the Food Network; however, I am just one. I am thankful that when we are able to sit down finally and enjoy some television we have more than one TV set. It prevents conflict and surely gives me something to surf. When I watch television, it is usually while I am reading the paper or going through mail or even online catching up on email. The same is true for Jeana.

Anything great going on in your life right now? If so, “push pause”, and thank God for it.

Perspective . . . Do You Have It?

Do you have the proper perspective about your life and all matters relating to your life?  That is a very big question for each of us to answer.  Sometimes in the midst of loss or disappointment, we lose it.  Sometimes in the midst of crisis or challenge, we lose perspective.  Sometimes in the midst of success and victory, we lose it.  However, how about this?

Shaun AlexanderMVP Running Back for the Seattle Seahawks, at the major Super Bowl Press Conference on Tuesday stated these words:  “We believe life itself with Jesus Christ is more important than what we do on the field … we want to make sure our focus is on more than this game.  We have a bigger calling.”  How about that one?  This is what you call “perspective.”  Those that covered the conference said that Shawn Alexander used his one hour with media (remember he is MVP this year) for the purpose of talking up Jesus Christ.  He is the real deal according to theMatt Hasselbeckfolks at Alabama where he played.  This is not just “fluff” with Alexander.  Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck of the Seahawks said he learned something from Trent Dilfer and he does it to this day … while in the tunnel about to come out to play he prays these words and says, “Lord, may we perform for an audience of one.”  This is what you call perspective.  They are keeping things in perspective.  Hasselbeck told the media on Tuesday that most are not aware even though we have players from across this country who play on this team, “I don’t think many people realize how many Christian guys we have on this team and howunited we are … we are united in Christ, and the unity you see on this team is very encouraging.”  Well, is that not something else?

Troy PolamaluPittsburgh Steeler strong safety, Troy Polamalu, wears his silver wedding band under his glove weekly as we goes about his defensive exploits in the NFL.  Why does he do this?  Well, he stated on Tuesday:  “I don’t think we put any value on marriage any longer in our country and, to me, the wedding band is a symbol of my wedding bond with my wife (Theodora) and my bond with God.”  This is what you call perspective.  He knows it all will go away, but his relationship with his wife andmostly with the Lord will not.  Antwaan Randel ElWide receiver, Antwaan Randel El stated these words:  “People think this game may go down in history, but it’s really only temporary.  I thank God that I am here, but I know I have to ask Him for guidance because I don’t know what to expect … I can’t let this game get me too high or too low … I have to stay focused on God and stay focused on his Word.”  The starting center for the Steelers, Jeff Hartings said, “I’ve been praying every day that I would honor Him and I’m praying now that I don’t embarrass Him during this time … I want to give Him praise all the time and use this time as a platform not for me, but for Him.”  This is what you call perspective!

So remember the next time you get the socks blessed off of you and you think more highly of yourself than you should think … keep perspective!  If these young men can do it, you can to.  As you watch any, part, or none of the game Sunday afternoon please remember:  Not all of the men you see are ego maniacs as some perceive, but many of them are true men of God!  Why?  PERSPECTIVE!

Keep perspective the rest of the week.  You know:  All else in life is just a game except your walk with Jesus Christ … perspective!
